About this GrubKit
Bring the bold flavors of the Caribbean right into your kitchen with our Jerk Chicken kit. You'll get everything needed to serve an entire Jamaican meal including four generous servings of coconut rice. We're even including a side of sweet plantain chips and a mini grater so you can grind up whole nutmeg that comes with each kit.
Background / Origin
Jerk chicken (or pork, goat, fish) refers to a cooking method originating from Jamaica. Typically marinated in a spice mixture and slow smoked over Pimento wood.
Flavor Profile
Highly aromatic from the spice rub used to marinate the meat. Medium to high spice level depending on peppers used (can be omitted if needed). Lime juice and brown sugar balance the spices.
Servings
Kit easily serves 4 adults. Adding in the optional beans makes this more filling.

Mini spice grater and sweet plantain chips.

Mixing bowl, baking pan / dish and a small pot for the rice.
